The Tavern on the Green has the reputation for being 'the fancy restaurant in Central Park. It features lots of lights outside in the trees and on the terrace. There is a roundabout driveway in the front where the horse drawn carriages drop off and pick up passengers dining there. So you don't really have to worry about not having a jacket for the men -- they don't much care.

Q: Is there a bus tour through Central Park in Manhattan? A: No, there is no bus tour that travels directly through the park. The various tour operators will drop you off at the edges of the park, 5th Avenue or Central Park South. From the drop off points you can enter the park and wander and sightsee as you please. When you are finished or at least are tired, you can hop back on the bus and be on your way to your next exciting NYC destination. Bus tours around the edges of the park operate at all hours. While Central Park has become much more safe in the past 30 years, it is not recommended to travel too deeply into the park: stay around the edges.
