Q: What is the dress code for the Tavern on the Green restaurant? A: Two words from the NYC restaurant's official website: Neat attire. Not a lot of help there, would you say? The surprise is that most visitors will discover this is a dressed up restaurant filled with tourists. It will not be filled with New Yorkers. The Tavern on the Green has the reputation for being 'the fancy restaurant in Central Park'. It features lots of lights outside in the trees and on the terrace. There is a roundabout driveway in the front where the horse drawn carriages drop off and pick up passengers dining there. So you don't really have to worry about not having a jacket for the men -- they don't much care.
