Central Park was designed by Frederick Law Olmsted. After the completion of the New York City Park, Olmsted settled in Brookline, Massachusetts.
Olmsted Brothers became a a nationally recognized landscape architecture firm. Although the firm was involved in urban improvement schemes across America, one of its significant contributions was to the development of the University of Washington campus.
