The Central Park Conservancy is the non-profit private organization that has been given and accepted the responsibilty for the maintenance and upkeep of this magnificent urban park. Fun Stuff from our magazine!		Restaurants Near Central Park in New York City - In short, if you can't hold onto your wallet, then hold onto your breath. The real estate surrounding NYC's Central Park is among the most desirable and expensive real estate in the world. As such, most of the blocks surrounding the park are devoted to residential co-ops and condominiums. There are a splattering of hotels park side, particularly along Central Park South near the horse drawn carriage waiting line. But along this stretch of Central Park South, there is Mickey Mantle's Sports Theme Restaurant that is easily accessible to the masses. High priced but it's the best along the street. Over to the west are a lot of new restaurants located within the AOL Time Warner Center at Columbus Circle.

August 2008 - Sunglasses Ban Begins in USA Bank - New security policies have started in two Mississippi banks. Customers entering the banks are now banned from wearing hats, hoods and sunglasses when entering these banks. This is a policy that has been brewing worldwide over the past few years as more and more banks are robbed by people wearing the targeted combination of both hats and sunglasses. We expect more and more banks to institute the same policies in the months to come. No more cheap sunglasses for them!

August 2008 - The Wizard of Oz opened at London's Royal Festival Hall in late July 2008. The lead DOROTHY will step out in footwear studded with red Swarovski crystals.
