Casual Photography in the park is very much permitted. Why how could you resist snapping a photograph of a biker such as this who zooms by you!
But for photographing weddings, there is a non non-refundable permit fee of $100.00 to take formal photographs in the Conservatory Garden. Date and time (30 minutes) must be reserved. Wedding parties may use the lawn in the Central Garden for 30 minutes only and are limited to the couple, parents, and attendants totaling no more than 25 people.
Did you know the Parks Department keeps an album of photos at the permit office; send them copies of your photos to add to the collection! Questions? Call 212-360-2766, Monday - Friday.
