What is the Dress Code at Tavern on the Green?

If you are attending a special event at Tavern on the Green -- a wedding, a company dinner, an anniversary party or a charity event -- then the dress code will be "dressy for women" and "jackets no tie for men". Weddings and charity events held here tend to be fancier than everyday lunch and dinner. And yes, there is a Coat Check here!

The official policy of the restaurant is to wear 'Neat Attire' . What exactly does that mean for women, what does that mean for men and what the heck about the children?

But adults having dinner here should certainly not consider wearing sneakers or T-shirts to Tavern on the Green for dinner. Go ahead, dress up a little folks!

So you don't really have to worry about not having a jacket for the men -- they don't much care. For lunch, sneakers might be ok and t-shirts might be ok for lunch in summer.
