The Sea Ranch is a rugged landscape and dotted with distinctive homes. It is a ten-mile long coastline in Sonoma County, California. The mandate is to blend man-made structures with their natural setting, and to live lightly on the land. The early plans wanted overgrazed lands to be rested and natural processes allowed to take their course, with indigenous planting where needed.
