The Cancun Airport is a relatively small airport. It is rapidly becoming more and more efficient and broad in its transportation services. Hotel shuttles, All-Inclusive Resorts all pickup passengers nearby the terminal exits. Drivers to the hotels will hold up signs with either the resort name or the passenger names.

Pictured above is the impressive open air terminal of the ADO bus company. From these berths, the modern buses depart for Cancun and Playa del Carmen.

They are super-cheap, very comfortable and easy to board.

Get off the plane, get your bags, get through Customs and then hold your temper. You'll have to walk past all sorts of fake "helpers". These uniformed 'helpers' are skilled and persistent -- and out to get you to sign up for a timeshare presentation. People in various casual 'uniforms' will call out to airport arrivees to capture their attention.

They are predators who impose on a person's natural social skills to barge in on your time. By 'gettin in your face' and offering to help you or to get you a ride or information or whatever they can think of, they try to get you to pause long enough to give in to them. They will then usher you to one of the kiosks on the left side of the airport corridor to give you maps and discount coupons in exchange for a visit to a timeshare presentation. So keep walking, don't stop or make eye contact!
