Manurewa West School pupils spent Tuesday afternoon playing backyard cricket with Black Cap captain Daniel Vettori. Howzat? "Pretty cool," says pupil Bayley Adams. Pupils met Vettori as part of the Visique Optometrists Free Sunglasses in Schools campaign.
"It was good fun, we got out and about, had a bit of a whack around and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves," Vettori says.
Each February Visique provides new entrants with a pair of sunglasses. This year more than 1000 schools signed up. Principal David Wallis says the children were excited because Vettori came to the school.
The campaign aims to educate people about the importance of protecting children’s eyes from UV radiation damage.
We love to wear them while jogging in Central Park! Thank you for looking for cheap Bolle sunglasses.
