It's called the Wiley X Eyewear Sunglass Machine. This creative tour de force / speed demon made its debut at the annual CARQUEST Auto Parts Winternationals in Pomona, California. Drag racing enthusiasts will finally get their first look at the show-stopping good looks of the new Jim Yates Pontiac GXP. Race fans will be sure to hit the brakes and take notice of the edgy new 2008 design. Its design features an enflamed skull sporting a pair of Wiley X’s on the hood, to the extreme barbwire wrapping the car’s frame, the new Wiley X Sunglass Machine boasts the industry’s most intense custom paint job on the strip.

Wiley X Eyewear is a leading manufacturer and provider of protective eyewear. They teamed with Jim Yates Racing to design and construct the Pro Stock Pontiac for the NHRA POWERade season. Designing the new custom painted GXP involved an enormous investment in time — and resources on behalf of Wiley X, Pontiac and GM Racing. The final racing product combines sleek, sporty, aerodynamic features that closely resemble the racecar's Pontiac G6 GXP showroom counterpart — but with a very bold new paint job.
