Balloon Twisting - Can Anyone Do It?

The skill of creating balloon animals is called balloon modeling or balloon twisting. The term balloon sculpting, is reserved for those balloon artists who sculpt large decorative displays like those see at elaborate weddings or conventions.

A balloon modeler shapes or twists balloons into shapes familiar to the audience. For parties, animal shapes are of course very popular. Increasingly, balloon artists are becoming very skilled at creating large and funny hats as well. These artists, "Twisters," often work alone and in front of a live audience. Everyone loves a balloon animal performance.
