Sleepovers and Girl Parties    
 
 

Little girls love the adventure of sleeping over at their friend's houses. It is one of the earliest rites of passages for a growing girl.

When a young girl attends the first slumber party, then it usually marks the first time she has slept away from her family. It marks the first day the little girl is moving toward adulthood.

 

That may seem a bit extreme: attendance at slumber parties marks an early move to adulthood, but if you stretch your mind a bit then you can see the point.

Girls play games at sleepover parties, one girl will know how to style hair and they will all take turns siting in front of each other and playing beautician. This is when they will try different hair styles and do crazy things to each other's hair.

If the girls are very young, at many sleepover parties, then it would be common for the girls to "color". No, not each other's hair, remember, they are young, but in coloring books with Crayola crayons. Perhaps the parents of the hostess will buy new and special coloring books for the slumber party. And some new colorful crayons to go along with them.
