The "Shutter Shades" were known as the "blinds shades" back in the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s when they were true novelty sunglasses. Music artist Kanye West renewed their popularity in 2007 when he wore them all over the place in his Stronger Video promoting his Graduation CD.

Upon opening the brass lock, the inside of the coconut could be painted in a brilliant gold. Within the gold interior could be iridescent crinkled hula grass. Nestled inside the hula grass could be the half of a shell you find on a beach. This shell could be painited a matte black. Handpainted on the inside (or outside) of the matte black shell in a white ink, is (Ah Hah!) the details of the invitation to the party.
