Typical food at a luau can be tender Kalua pig, teriyaki beef, mahi-mahi fish, chicken longrice (rice noodles in chicken broth with chicken pieces), lau-lau (pork and fish wrapped in taro leaves) white rice, poi, sweet potato, rolls, pineapple, and either coconut cake or haupia (coconut pudding).
