I work with different companies for different categories of products. I choose the highest quality and lowest price products. Not all sunglasses are alike, for example. If you see a product on this website, you can be assured it is the highest quality product in the mass merchandise market. In fact, these are the exact same products from the exact same source offered by dozens of other imprinting services. It might get a little confusing for consumers. I work with the source supplier as a broker. Some source suppliers do not sell directly to the public, they only work with smaller retailers like us. A company like mine captures the sale. I accept all the customer requests for style, ink color, logo and art specifications. I create the art as specified, gain approval from the customer. Then I pass that on to the manufacturer (the source supplier). I follow the order through the manufacturing process. Finally, I send a tracking number when the package is on its way.
At Shades of Fun!, I am able to offer lower prices than the other suppliers because I keep my overhead much lower. I code this website, I crop the photos and try to keep it simple, fast and pretty. Having been online since 1998, I have had to keep up with all the changes in style, design and back end coding. Things have changed at lightning speeds in all that time. It has been a challenge, I will say that. This website is "quieter" than other promotional logo product suppliers. If you choose to place your custom personalized sunglasses order with me, your order will be treated by real people -- me -- who really appreciate your transaction. You will receive an instant receipt, then within a few hours, an acknowledgment and a layout of your order to review. You will be asked to review it, point out any changes you may like or approve as it. Once I receive final approval for production, your order enters the production line. You will receive another email that will include your anticipated arrival date. Once your order has been completed, your logo passes quality inspection, it is boxed and assigned a tracking number. I do offer free samples of all products. The samples will be of previous imprint work on the product specified. Look for the "Free Sample" link on the page of the product that interests you. Shipping both in and outside the USA is available. Each product is assigned a different shipping charge. Sample shipping is by UPS Ground or UPS Worldwide. Shipping fees are based on the product ordered, its weight and size dimensions, as well as the distance from the warehouse.
Set Up Fees
Many of the glassware products I offer feature free set-up charges after larger quantities. See each style page for the Free Set-Up option.
Set Up fees cover the cost of creating a screen for your artwork. This screen is stretched taut on a frame and placed on the imprinting surface of each piece of glassware. Paint is applied to the screen and wiped across it. This process creates an image onto the surface of the glass. This process is repeated over and over again for each piece of glassware ordered. The Set Up Fee covers the cost of materials and labor for the screen and frame.
Four-color logos must be submitted to us in digital format. I will transform those images into computer code for use with the four-color imprint machines.
Set Up Fees: Sunglasses • Why no set up fee?
I don't like the way Set Up Fees are separated out from the price of the sunglasses. I find other companies hide their Set Up fees until the last moment before you purchase. Seems creepy. So I don't do that. No Set Up Fees for sunglasses. That's it.
Custom glassware products require up to 10 business days to complete the work after art approval. One-side imprints will ship two days faster than that. This item ships from Florida, USA. Please enter a requested arrival date during the checkout process.

Safe Shipping, Special Packaging
Shipping glass products requires careful attention. I am particular when packaging products to create the safest environment possible for transportation to the customer. I use generous amounts of inner packing to protect your glassware from normal transport conditions. All glassware products are in perfect condition when they leave the warehouse. In normal conditions, the glasses arrive in the same perfect condition in which they left the shop.
Conditions within the transport system are variable; some packages may be subject to more rigorous handling on their way to the customer. In the event any of the glassware arrives in damaged condition, compensation for the breakage is determined by the company selected for shipping. Shades of Fun! is not party to damage caused by the shipping company.
UPS has developed a "guaranteed packing" system for the glassware as an upgrade to the Standard Shipping method. When a customer chooses to upgrade to "Guaranteed Safe" packing, superior quality boxes and inner packing are used to provide the most secure transport possible. Customers will have the chance to upgrade to the UPS Guaranteed Safe Packaging. This option will be presented to you at the time you review the art layout of your product. This upgrade add $6.50 to each carton in your order. The number of cartons vary from product to product and is based on the quantity you've ordered. If your packages have been upgraded to "guaranteed packing" and arrive in broken condition, UPS will provide quick compensation.
UPS and USPS are offered to customers during checkout. Customers outside the US are offered International Priority Mail. Tracking numbers are sent via email when the products have been packaged in the factory.
Shipping outside the USA: I do ship outside the USA. Customers choose either UPS or the International Priority Mail Service provided by each country's local postal services. In either case, the shipping charges do not include border tax, export fees, VAT or any associated border collection fee. The packages include a Shipping Invoice as part of its labeling, the amounts charged are based on that Invoice. I do not control these fees in any way.
Shipping times outside the USA: UPS is the fastest way to ship products and can also be the most expensive. The International Priority Mail Service is less expensive and is often slower delivery. Delivery to London can be anywhere from five to 10 days after I ship the package using the International Priority Mail Service.

Glassware ordered without an imprint will be assigned an RMA (Returned Merchandise Authorization). Products must be returned in re-sellable condition. Returned products will be refunded subject to an 8% restocking fee. Shipping costs are not refundable.

About the glass barware
The glass barware is customizable with an imprint. Some glasses can be printed in either one-color or up to 4-colors. Customers may choose to purchase with no imprint. Many of the styles are made in the USA. All barware meets FDA requirements.
My partner manufacturers use the silkscreen process for imprinting. I offer a tremendous selection of vibrant ink colors at no extra charge. PMS matching is avaiable if needed.

The Ink Process
Your imprint is produced by silkscreen machines. The glasses are secured onto an arm fitted for their security. The glass is placed under a silkscreen frame which has been cut precisely with your submitted design. If you are printing red ink, then the machine above the glasses inks the screen with the portion of red ink needed, the screen is dropped down onto the surface of the glass and contoured around with a perfect seal. The silkscreen frame is swiped with a rubber tool over the glasses, painting the glass in a perfect reproduction of your red logo. The glass is removed from the machine by a person using white non-static gloves and it is placed on a drying rack until ready to be packed into the glassware shipping boxes.
The 4-color Ink Process
Four-color logos must be submitted as digital separations. Please use your receipt to attach the files along with the specifications for PMS colors to be used. The glass style you order will be placed on an arm underneath the 4-color imprint machine. Your logo specs will be loaded into a computer ink machine. The glass will be painted at close range in the logo design submitted. When all four colors have been applied, the glass is removed from the machine and placed on a drying rack until it the entire order is ready to be packed into theglassware shipping boxes.
Conversation on the Topic
Many shoppers are looking to buy a large quantity of promotional products for their company or organization. Of course they want the best price. Quite a few of these consumers will not have previous experience in making a purchase of branded merchandise. They may not be prepared with the proper format of artwork we use during our silkscreen or embroidery process. People outside the realm of graphics or publishing can not be expected to have such knowledge. Fonts, art and file formats don't align within the daily lives of most of the population. Customers of ours do not have to worry about these specifications when working with our company: we can take care of most of these issues.
Even though a church group, non-profit organization or commercial enterprise may be interested in promotional products for use with a specific event or promotion, the customer may not realize that product categories will have minimum requirements. Most people are interested in no minimum for items like our cheap personalized sunglasses. But that is simply not possible with in that product group. There is more labor involved with creating a batch of custom sunglasses than you might imagine. Labor costs money, the silkscreen machine costs money, believe it or not the actual promotional product, in this case, sunglasses, are actually the lowest cost link in the chain. We've calculated the minimum requirement for each product based on all the labor and product costs associated with an item. The result is a minimum number of pieces needed for each purchase. We wish we could offer promotional sunglasses no minimum. But that is outside the bounds of our ability.
We do offer just about the lowest minimum for customized logo sunglasses in the industry. Just 100 pair is required for a purchase. It's not no minimum, we know, it's as low as it can go with this process. For shoppers who truly need a lower minimum, you might try browsing the vendors over at the etsy shop. There are many companies there who are offering no minimum for logo sunglasses. The big difference is that most of them are not offering silkscreen permanent ink as the logo application process. Rather, the current trend is to apply clear film "stickers" with text or art to the sunglasses to provide the customization. We are not involved in any of these businesses, so we can't explain the process, but if you really need no minimum, that would be our best suggestion.
